About me
I am registered within the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Practitioner Psychologist for the modalities of Clinical and Counselling Psychologist.
I was born in Barcelona where I pursued my education in Psychology. I have further specialized in forensic psychology and in family therapy. I have practised psychology in a variety of settings including in private practice, community agencies, social services and court. I lived in Toronto, Canada for three years where I worked in a specialised mental health centre with adolescents and families. In 2018 I settled in the United Kingdom and I am currently working as a senior clinical psychologist with the NHS in central London.
During my career I worked with a variety of clinical presentations and with diverse populations. My experience covers a broad range of issues including complex trauma, attachment disorders, anxiety, mood disorders, relationship, and family difficulties.
I practice using strength-based, client-centred, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive frameworks along with evidence-based psychologically informed interventions such as CBT, DBT, MBT, Narrative, Systemic Therapy.
My experience of living abroad make me particularly sensitive to the issues experienced by those not living in their country of origin. I practice in different languages (English, Spanish, Catalan and Italian) since I believe in the importance of expressing emotions in the native language.
